Spreadsheets for librarians

After clicking the links below, the spreadsheets will show in Dropbox. To use them, click the download link on the right. These spreadsheets were created in Excel, but should also work in open source software as well.


Collection Manager - Use three reports from your automation system, i.e., size of each collection, last year's circulation of each collection, number of items adding the past year for each collection, to suggest how many items to weed and add to each collection during the coming year.

 Shelf Shuffler - Use spreadsheet to draw floor layouts to rearrange your library. Intended for rearranging one room.

Checkout decider - Does your current checkout period and allowed renewals provide enough time to read for average readers? This spreadsheet will show who is served and not served by checkout periods and renewals.
